Advice for an incoming freshman in a new, big school?

I have been going to a 25-kid GRADE school (small) school since kindergarten. I am so close with the other 25 kids in my class, we are like family. It's a private school, and I LOVED it.





But now, I'm going to a HUGE, public high school. I'm terrified. I know a few friends going, and I'm planning on joining field hockey.





So, any tips on being a freshman? Switching schools? Making friends? Thanks!Advice for an incoming freshman in a new, big school?

Be afraid. Be very afraid. Grow some tough skin because high school teenagers are vicious. No scratch that. High school girls are vicious. And prepare to be judged. No matter where you are, no matter who you are, someone will always be looking at you and comparing you to someone else. Don't act immature and stupid. And don't be loud, but the best advice i think you can get is if someone says something demeaning to you, stand up for yourself or else your gonna look like another little fish in a big pond.

when i went to hs, it was so different. your going to meet alot of new people, and not all the time they will like you. the best thing to do is just be nice to everyone and don't get a bad rep for anything, especially your freshman year. join alot of clubs or sports, cause you'll automatically have new friends by doing that.
Haha don't be scared. High school is easy just don't act like you own the school if you are a fish that's annoying. Just be nice and friendly. Making friends in high school is really easy. My first year was awesome and I went by what I said. Every one is scared so don't feel like your the only one haha trust me you won't be haha you will fit right in
the best advise: dont try to be someone you're not.

oh %26amp; join field hockey (: i met alot of my close friends from field hockey try-outs when i was a freshman, so it'll be alot easier to click with them before school actually starts.
I'm going to be a freshman to so i can't help that much, but basically stick with your friends that are going, and make new ones...i guess...sorry i'm not that much of a help
im going 2 a new school 2 im a lil sceard but im just gona b my self and if people like me then they do but if they dont u should do the same b your self and have fun make the best of it:)
dont try and act like ur the sh*t like the other freshman
dont be shy..be nice and try to talk to people..
