My husband and I are building our first house. It is going to have a medium grey vinyl siding with black shutters. We are going to have a basement with brick on the outside. My husband seems to think red brick would look good. I, on the other hand, can't imagine how that would ever go together! What color brick do you think goes well with a medium grey vinyl siding? Is there a website where I can go to show him what looks best?
Thanks!I need color advice for our new home?
I don't know a website, but the best idea would be to drive around .... look at newer subdivisions at the colours...he will then understand that a red brick will look out of place with the grey siding...I would choose something calmer, and blendier like a light grey brick...stick to the same colour base...you can't just change the outside after it is done.
Another thing you can do is to get a sample of the grey siding, and then you can take it and put it up against different coloured brick at hardware stores...that might help someone who can't picture colours together.I need color advice for our new home?
yes you can look at 603010.com.au
If I was you I would avoid black and grey as they are very 80's colours nad go for a nutral colour ie cream brick and highlight with something like blue or terrecotta tones.
I wouldn't wast the money putting brick on the foundation, it will only take away from the rest of the house no mater what color it is.
