I am starting a new school and I need advice?

So I am going from a school of a little over 300 students to a school of over 2000. Does anyone have any advice for me on how to make friends or just any advice in general?I am starting a new school and I need advice?
Calm down. Take a deep breath. Relax. Look yourself in the mirror and say ';I am totally cool, smart, and I have nothing to fret over.'; Upperclassmen can smell a ';scared or nervous'; freshman from a mile away and they might try to pick with you. Be confident and assertive at all times.

Stay Organized. Keep your notes, handouts, and other materials in a well organized manner. Being organized will help you make excellent grades and if your teachers are the type to take up notebooks for grading, they will really appreciate it. It also helps ease anxiety, and saves you alot of time.

Be yourself.

If you find any extracurricular activities you are interested in, by all means find out more information and try out for them. Don't be scared. Now is your time to shine and do what you want to do. You will meet your best friends this way.

If you have plans to attend college, make sure that you start your high school career off right (3.3 at least-B+ average). If you find yourself struggling in any of your courses, tell your teacher or parents immediately so they can help you.

Have fun! High school memories last a life time.I am starting a new school and I need advice?
Be social, talk to your guidance counselor, and focus on your grades.

Also never look for the approval of others. This is a downward spiral once you start. Never get in with the ';drugz iz cool'; crowd. They'll be a dropout working at the kwik-e-mart 2 years from now lol its true.

If someone randomly asks if your a freshman don't tell them. (My sophomore year a guy walks up to me and my friend when we're in the lunch line and asks if were freshmen. I'm like ';what for?'; and he says if i am a freshman than he gets to skip me. so i was like ';no bihh'; lol)

Just be cool confident and enjoy that your freshman year is your easiest in school work. Its the year you find yourself so be open to new things and have fun! :)
The day u start school.. just look yourself in the mirror and think positive of yourself..if people come to you and say hi say hi back ..and try to be in the most clubs as u can because the most clubs the more friends you'll have because all of u have something in common...and if u do good in this class or club and people say nice job say thnk u dont ';snap your fingers at them'; dont be a show off. that is the first thing that gives people abad impression about u and u dont want that on ur first day..
Go in with a smile, walk with your back straight, shoulders back and chin up-it shows confidence. Don't worry and just try to be friendly! Small talk is always good-ask someone who looks nice where something is or compare schedules. Good luck
Just be yourself and you'll be fine.
